Yeh piston slap in impreza can be quite common, as long as it goes away when warm there is nothing to worrie about.
would stay away from mobil 1, ive used millers cfs 10w40 (10w50 if running a lot more power) in all of mine seems a good oil.

Ditto, used it in all 4 of my Subarus including track use so saying it ruined a car is total bollox if you ask me.

i just read your other thread.
bit harsh saying mobil 1 ruined your car when infact it was whoever changed the oil from 15w50 to 5w30. and poss other underlying problems.

Maybe best with the 10w50 if over 300bhp and driven hard. (i use 10w50 millers at @350bhp)
Mobil 1 is a decent oil would avoid the 0w as way too thin and think the 15w50 probably too think when cold, 15w50 would not cause an engine fail, may get ticking tappits when cold though.

Mobil 1 are good oils, so they didn't ruin the engine. Using the wrong one may not have helped it though

A bit of scaremongering here?
Having read your other thread, I don't believe it was 'Mobil' that killed your engine, more so an underlying issue that was at least partially masked by the thick oil used prior to the change?
