Yes you can. It's within the "Sensors..." menu. Then look for "O2..." with engine idling. It should continually cycle up and down between 0 and 0.9V if working fine.

Make sure O2 feedback is turned on in the "Etc." menu first though (it should already be, obviously)...

Yeah, when they fail, voltage pretty much goes static. It could well be that the mapper has failed simply to turn on the 02 sensor via the Etc. menu. Means you'll get crap mpg off boost.

had a look today con the commander, but it is jap, so cant tell if it is turned on, but i would guess it is.

when engine is at running temp, and idling in the sensor check 02S reads 0.00 today, but when you go faster or slower when driving, it reads around 0.00, but if you have it as a constant speed it reads around .064v

the other day on a cold engine, at idle, it was around 0.02-0.08 ish

any ideas?

Sound's knack'd.

As said, on warm idle it should clearly cycle between 0 and 0.9V.

The Jap hyroglyphs for "ON" looks a bit like "7y".

The "OFF" mode is a bit like "+:/"

LOL

lets say, if i had a rr and it was turned on, then another rr with it turned off, would the bhp/lbft be any different?

Yep, it's OFF!

Turn it back on and recheck for the cycling - it'll prob then be working okay!

Scroll to the "02..." line with the ^ or V buttons. Then press NEXT. Change to "7y" using the ^ or V (or it might be the < or >) buttons. Press NEXT twice to save. Then come out of the menu using the PREV button. Then go back in just to make sure it did indeed change to "7y".

Then recheck the cycling in the other "Sensors..." menu, etc...

i wonder why it has been turned off?

would it affect the bhp/lbft from a rolling road

also would this cause it to use more fuel?

- It won't affect the peak bhp + lb ft as it's automatially disabled when in open loop i.e. on boost above a certain (low) rpm point. Then when parameters allow, it automatically reverts back to closed loop again i.e. lambda enabled.

- Yeah, mpg will suffer as the lambda, being disabled, cannot constantly sample the O2 content in the exhaust gases, so is incapable of telling the ECU to trim (or add) fuel to try to keep to the perfect stoichiometric 14.7:1 A/F ratio...

The net result of running with O2 disabled is heavy(er) fuel consumption/bad emissions due to over rich closed loop AFRs.

Whether that would lead to bore wash and/or a carbon'd up engine over a long period of time, I don't know...

Could well lead to bore wash and smoking issues from ring not sealing properly John over a period of time, how long has it been off?

http://www.paulr33.com/powerfc-faq/powerfc-faq.htm#40b

If you have 0/2 Feedback turned off the PowerFC will not enter its closed loop feedback mode and will waste fuel and be very un-economical. Expect bad fuel economy
