Hi peeps, i bought a 2005 sti ppp type uk a few days ago. one of the things i noticed about it was that the y-pipe on the intercooler seems patched up and has a metal right angle piece coming out of it. just out of curiosity, i thought id put a thread up, as the car boosts fine etc, and i have just seen another like it.

If anyone could clear this up, it would be great.

I think that may be a piece that has been put in as OE to aid pushing the pipe on/prising off, with a screwdrider or other tool it does look like a patch with a metal bit sticking out
