See post #39 onwards:-

https://www.scoobynet.com/839814-sti...tential-2.html

The MAF in the link is the latest post-2006/'green stripe' (better product that the one manuf'd between 1998 and 2006) - it's the one you want to get!

Also, worthwhile reading through the MAF related stuff in that thread, as it's enlightening....

Just realised, S reg could just sneak onto the last month of production of the MY98 car (Sep 97 to Aug 98) - in which case that MAF would be the wrong version!

Could you post a pic up of your engine bay - then I'll confim. Basically the the coilpack needs to be offset to the passenger side of the inlet manifold (that it's bolted too) for it to be a MY99, and therefore that MAF would be correct.

(If it's in the centre, then it would be a MY98)....

It don't matter as far as the engine and all the associated sensors - inc. the MAF - are concerned... MY99 and 00 are the same.

If DVLA have issued the 'correct' plate (something they don't always get right ), then you have a MY99.

But if you want to know for certain, post up the 7-digit "Model code" found on the VIN plate on the passenger suspension turret... If the 4th character is G then MY99 UK car. If H then MY00.

BTW, Subaru/STi only marketed the JDM STI Classics as "Version..."
