Default engine light

just fitted a new lambda sensor today on my 2002 bugeye, reset the ecu. the engine light came on again within a min....... could it mean a faulty cat?... was told it may be blocked. is there a way to unblock it or is it a case of a new cat?.

any advice please guys

Which one you are fit Lambda Sensor,Denso or Bosch?
Because if you are fit incorrect lambda sensor you will still get CEL...

also cheap copied non genuine o2 sensors will throw light back up again also, they are cheap for a reason

It was a Bosch from euro car parts ,fitted buy my mate at a garage. Gonna get an emission test on it tomorrow

No matey for all new age Subaru is only one replacement and this is Denso,not Bosch,Bosch is replacement only for Classic not Newage

i was told o here last week that bosch was ok . i will have to see what the emission test brings out , if its the lamda then i will have to speak to the guy who did this today.
