Default 2 gear

Hi everyone i have a turbo 2000 year1999 i have lost of power in 2nd gear all other gears are fine . Any ideas

Sounds like your gearbox has gone for a burton, it needs inspecting by a gearbox centre though it sounds as though it probably needs something replacing, and expect the worst (ie full gearbox rebuild), you dont just lose power in one gear unless something mechanical goes wrong with the gearbox

Isn't it 2nd and 4th that usually end up stripped?

Great will get it looked at tomorrow only had cluth done well 3 mouths ago . Cheers guys

Out of interest, what sort of torque are you running?

I was told that over 350 ftlb was too much for a 5-speed box

Im not to sure mate i really ant done much to it in the time i have had it. Look at the paper work for it it was running at 325ftlb. Its a good job i love this car lol its looking like diff and gearbox lol
