Default check engine light

just got in my 95 wrx, turned the key and the radiator fans started straight away, i thought this was a bit odd as the temp guage was cold, noticed the check engine light has come on, had a quick look under the bonnet and everything looks ok, but the fans are staying on, thermostat maybe?
will it be ok to drive like this?
can somebody tell me where the wires are that you can get the fault codes from please?

thanks
neill.

i have no idea i had codes 22 and 24
as far as i know the car will enter limp home mode and not rev above 5k if it thinks its going to die. i drove my car 400mile home like that, half of it doing 75 on motorway. i took a chance and made it back.
