Hi,

This evening my sti version 5 died/stalled at around 60mph. I then realised that it stalled every time I took my foot off the accelerator. It will start up again with no issues. what the hell is wrong now????

Please help.

Idle control valve?! Maf sensor... I take it, it doesnt stall when you first start the car up?

On start up it goes up and down for a few seconds then dies, when driving I had to keep the revs up at traffic lights etc otherwise it stalled.

a couple of minutes before this happened there was a squeeking noise coming from under the bonnet somewhere which makes me think that it may be something other than a sensor?

Air leak. Either from a blow off valve or a split hose.
