Guys
I have just fitted a TD05 18G, went relatively well until I realised that I didn't have correct water pipes, so I cut some old ones up and made them fit as a temporary solution. Car ran fine with no moisture or smoke out of exhaust at this point.
Car actually moved about 4 miles until we then re fitted correct turbo water lines and at no point was I on full chat as I know it needs re mapping.
Now the car has excessive moisture out of the exhaust and lots of steam, doesn't smell like oil but more of coolant/fuel.
Anybody got any idea why this is happening ?, didn't happen on my old turbo or with temp water hoses but now with correct fitting hoses it does.
Its a relatively new but second hand turbo, was from a mate who had it on his blobeye but went for a bigger one, it has been sitting in my garage for about a year though, can they corrode ??
