couple of 02 plate prodrive sti questions
hi all my mate has one of these but isnt on the net. He needs to get a wheel bearing but doesnt know what the size is or a rough guide price from a breakers. I think they are a different size to a wrx (this is where the confusion comes in) but not 100%. And also what engine has he got i know its an ej 20 but has it got a phase or version number? Thanks in advance all help appreciated

Buy a bearing new there only 30 or 40 quid. if you need a complete hub i bought on last year second hand for £70.
some people call them an sti7 but this is not an official title
2002 sti type uk prodrive(if its a uk car) is the correct title thats assuming its a prodrive model and not a normal sti with ppp fitted. The bearings are the same which ever sti it is of this year

As above, Subaru dropped version numbers after the STi version 6.........they now simply use the Model year and type. MY02 WRX STi Type UK Prodrive Style etc......and that's what the engine came from
