Default Outer window seal/weather strips

Can anyone advise me on removing these without breaking any clips or is that not possible.im having to do some paintwork after some **** head keyed my car.i have had a quick look and know that its a lottery as to weather they bre ak or not when lifting them off,done this loads as i work in a bodyshop but never removed one on a newage impreza.its an my 02 sti and if theres a technique to doing them id be most greatfull as think they got to come off,thanks carl.

Anyone have any ideas on this,please ?

I need these off tomoz so will just have to go for it.

Well, sorted i think ? drop window and lift rubber from inside and there is a screw at each end then i supose you lift off 2 or3 clips in middle,if any one else needed to know.

Yeah, on the Classic the 3 clips are screwed into the frame. The screws are accessed by lifting up the rubber weather seal strips.

I assume that's what you had to do on the New Age too, yes?

Yes joz thanks mate,iv broke many of these in my time so wanted a headsup on them,then it dawned on me to look at what clips were on them then seen the screws,dont suppose you have removed roof rail trims have you joz before,did a honda once that had roof repaint and it was a mother to get off,i can mask them but would rather take off so not to get delamination with the clear coat.

I didn't personally. But one of my wind deflectors broke up, so got in Chips Away to remove them and repaint:-

BIG UP TO CHIPS AWAY...!!!
