just wee up date to my last thread ,,i had leaking oil feed pipe to turbo so i bought new one and fitted and since turbo not work correctly and heard weird noise as turbo try bocst,,,

so i stripped it all back down took turbo out and the fins both side mega mega play do think wit me fixing leak the oil pressure going into turbo to much for it been so worm and the noise is the fins rubbing off inside and not working correctly,,,,,basically try say do you think turbo totally goosed,,

Should not be any play on the shaft are you saying there is play in the bearings? can you see anycontact marks/scoring on the inside of the casing caused by the fins/vanes?

yes they scoring and mega play can move fines against side and up down

i would say bin the turbo

Likely unrepairable or will be taken in p/x against another turbo unit. Speak to one of the specialists on here about what to do with it but i would not run it. if t had had metal to metal contact then the fins/vanes could easily be fractured and come off possibly totalling your engine
