Default Un-even spark plug wear

Hi all,

Changed the plugs on my Standard UK Turbo MY00 in an elimination process to my hesitence around 3k - and found that No'4 cylinder plug was much more worn than the others

The other 3 looked pretty good, usual colour & electrodes still ok etc but the No'4 electrode was worn totally away !

Any ideas what can could this ?

It didn't cure the issue either...

Yikes, pre-ignition does that to spark plugs. It sounds like that cylinder (and possibly others) are probably running really lean. I would look at the MAF being the cause, failing that maybe its just injector 4 that is partially blocked or something similar. Hopefully the problem can be solved before major engine damage is done. It would however be very wise to run a compression check on all 4 cylinders to check that No4 is not lower than the others.

PS. Google pre-ignition or "reading spark plugs" and see if the images are similar to your plug.
