Changed my pump on my 97 type-r and whilst swapping the pumps over I inadvertently must've allowed the float to do a 180' u-turn so it wasnt touching the contacts for the fuel level sender, so when it was all put back together I flicked the ignition on and the petrol gauge plummeted...
After a few swear words I took it all out again and realised what I'd done...
Put it all back in and up it went again to the level it had before, result!!
1 day later I'm driving along and notice the fuel light coming on with over a 1/4 of tank showing on the gauge, I'm guessing I've accidentally bent the float arm or it's got snagged somewhere in the tank (is this possible?)
Anyone got a pic I can compare my arm to please?
Thanks
