Default noisy tappets

just had the head gaskets fixed on my 95 WRX import and all of the sudden the car has got noisy tappets will these quieten down on thier own and are they likely to cause damage

who did the head gaskets? there is a similar thread to this where the wrong thickness gasket was used, if you do a search you find the thread.

the noisy tappets are on one side of the engine so i dont think it is the head gaskets as both dune at the same tine.

Wouldnt worry too much just yet, remember the head has been off, so will take some time for the oil to properly circulate.
