hi all, the bearing in the pulley has gone on my ac pump (v1 sti, ej20) does any1 know if i can just run it without the belt as its not linked with alternator or psteerin. I cant find any where that sells bearings, and they dont come with a new pulley so does this mean that i have to recondition the whole unit??

Hi there you cannot see any difference(on road) maybe on dyno/RR you will see small difference,that's my point of view...

Yeah you can just drop the belt no problem. No gains to be had unless you strip it out, then it is only few kgs (20ish iirc).

its ok mate, thanks 4 the reply but ive sorted it now jus took the belt off and gonna run it like that for a while i reckon as never use ac anyway.

No worries, you know where it is if you change your mind.
Mine was never used and it needed re-gassing so out it came.
