Default diff and drive shaft problems

i am trying to put my drive shaft back in to my diff and it will not go in fully i have taken of the clip that holds it in off and it fit but when i put it back on it don't. ant tips on how to get it in thanks

undo the suspension bolts so the hub moves freely and give it a big shove !

is the clip heavly bent up?? As it should just pop back into place with a little help
