Basically I have a pre facelift wrx sti and it has scoops either side replacing the bonnet vents. Someone has told me that I can't replace these scoops with facelift bonnet vents n that I need the pre facelift ones?.. I would of thought they are same fitment just different design?

What colour? Is it 262 sliver?

I have some pre-facelift "shark gills" ones in that colour knocking about...

 

well its a prefacelift not fussed about the colour of the vents as will get them sprayed anyway. a friend of mine said ive got a facelift bonnet on my car.. how can i make sure this is 100%, i dont want to buy some prefacelift vents then find out i needed facelift ones.

The prefacelift is sort of ever so slightly concave in the central area and the TMIC's central bonnet scoop does NOT have a little pointy piece in the centre of the opening.

The facelift bonnet has definite 'creases' either side and the central area is raised slightly. The TMIC's bonnet scoop DOES have a little pointy bit in the opening.

yes mate thats helped. mine has the crease and have found out it is facelift for sure. now just need the pair of vents!!

Yeah, the facelift bonnet (plus headlights/grille) combo is much nicer/aggressive.
