Default water pump plumbing

hi peeps just a quick one, ive had the scooby in totall strip down for the last few months and installed a new water pump at some point.
now today was the day to rebuild it all back up .
now when i got to plumbing the pump back in i could not remember for the life of me which way the two pipes go so i just eny meny miney mo`d them .ive plumbed the new turbo, rad and all pipework concerned fired it up and apart from a bit of air bleeding all seems ok.
im just asuming both hoses are pumped and therefor either way is ok ,am i correct in assuming this?

Do you mean the top and bottom rad hoses?

if so, the sort of "S"-shaped one is the top one, the sort of "?"-shaped one is the bottom one to the water pump.

na not rad hoses, on the pump you have the thermostat housing then you have two outlet pipes on the side of the pump about 1/2" sort of size . a pipe from the header tank goes on one and the other one comes from top of the block dunno what that one goes two.they both come down the gap where the oil dip stick is. cant remember which pipe goes on which outlet on the pump ,i just assumed the pump only pumps so either way round would be ok

Ah, sure. Sorry mate, wouldn't know.

But plenty of dudes on here have pulled motors apart, etc., so an answer should be forthcoming...
