Default running fault on my scooby

hi everyone , i am new to site and i am seeking help with a running fault with my scooby that i have just purchased . the fault is intermitant . i have got a subaru impreza turbo 2000cc 1994 , its got front mount intercooler , std5 turbo, blitz fuel/boost control in car and uprated ecu, straight threw exhaust , tuned to 308bhp. from cold fault doesnt seem to occur, when driving and reaching where turbo kicks in car hesitates as if no fuel getting threw , i was told by previous owner that it is a coil pack at fault but i feel it can not be that otherwise shorly the car would only run on 3 cylinders ?? . car can been driven normal b4 turbo kicking in with fault
and fault only happens when reaching turbo . also when fault occurs you can hear air pressure noise around turbo area?? sometimes when you reach turbo it will hesitate and then all of sudden it will clear and your flying again?? also my friend matty2879 who is member was following me when fault happening and he said that black smoke come out back and it stunk . also on tick over can smell petrol fumes quit strong .

as you probably guessed i am a noob scooby owner so sorry if terminology is not correct please help with any suggestion thanks

It rather sounds to me like your car has been modified without remapping.
Where are you located?
This is not the sort of thing that can be sorted by internet but I can give you pointers.
In the meantime do not give your car a lot of throttle until the issues are sorted because one of the possibilities is that you are running very weak and running the engine and forcing it in these conditions will result in a piston picking up in the bore.
