Default Classic Lambda senser wire colours

Hope you guys having a better weekend than me.

Suspected lambda senser fault, so I got hold of a genuine replacement then took mine out.

It left its thread in the down pipe so now I've got a 18mm tap I'll probably never use again!

Cleaned up the hole, fitted replacement but noticed my original sensor has 2 black and 1 white wire, the new one I have has 1 red 1 black and 1 white.

I have 97 UK turbo car with Apexi ECU. The new sensor reads 0V on the ECU hand unit.

Doesnt seem right to me.

Anyone got any clues please?

Cheers

eBay so my own fault. Great service from an eBay shop so I dont want to drop them in it. But having a 97 car I've run into this before, some older components and some newer ones.

I think I have the sensor from an earlier car. 100mm loom, identical plug and looks identical too but just no volts.

Wondering if the wires were swapped on the loom so will check the red & black are in the same position as the original 2 black wires.

Just wondereing if anyone knows what the difference in these sensors is

More info:

My original Lambda sensor has 2 white 1 black wire Bosch A24 A31 203 76120
Replacement sensor has Black Red White wires Bosch A24 631 209 56133

At first glance Im guessing its the wrong sensor

But just in case I started measuring. I found the resistance on the sensor from the car on the 2 white wires is quite low as you'd expect from a heater coil.

Unfortunately on the replacment sensor they are all infinte, I'm guessing thats not right!

Any input much appreciated
Cheers
