Default pro drive sports cat

hello, im currently running a de-cat exhaust system only cat is left on the up pipe. i was thinking about fitting a sports cat for m.o.t purposes. i came across a prodrive sports cat for sale, are these any good ? how would a sports cat affect performance compared to a de-catted down pipe ? thanks shaun

Depends which one it is. STi one is best, also the newer ones are better than older ones. Plenty of threads with details on these bits if you search. I done similar to yourself a couple years back, but now moved on to a different setup.

Hi mate, i was having the same doubts before getting mine, i de-catted all and fitted the prodrive sports cat. Had a few comments about lower power etc but can report that the car is happily at 338.9hp and has now passed two MOTs both of which were well inside the limits for the emissions.

Have you decatted the first main/rear cat (downpipe) and fitted a prodrive sports cat to where the second cat would be (centre/up-pipe)?

I had a used Prodrive sports cat fitted along with a Miltek system to my 2005sti at Engine Tuner and it delivered the performance like Baz's and passed the mot recently no problems. I had doubts initially but the guys at engine tuner seemed to think that the sports cats were fine up to around 400bhp.
