Default A few problems with a classic WRX...

Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone can give me a few suggestions as to what some problems with my Jap import classic Impreza WRX could be.

The biggest one at the moment is that the car is sluggish - like a brake is stuck on or the handbrake is still on. A mate who knows more about cars than I do had a look at it and we can't find a brake problem so i'm thinking either gearbox or diff?

The car will hold itself still out of gear on a steady incline forwards or backwards. When going round slower (2nd gear) corners the car is on the verge of stalling due to lack of momentum.

Second problem is the fans - they quite often kick in at maximum speed after a few minutes of driving. The car has plenty of water in it and no water leaks, although there is an oil leak I haven't managed to track down yet.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Cheers guys!
