Hi im looking at getting a recon pair of heads for my 99/00 classic and was wanting to know if the heads from any other versions will fit.

Seriously, the phase 2 MY99/00 ones have a different IM bolt pattern to the MY93-98 phase1/1.5 ones, so you need to fit MY99/00 ones to keep all your ancillaries etc.

To that end, the best heads you can fit, without any unnecessary ballache, are the STi 5 and 6 ones. These have underbucket shims and come with free-breathing cams and are good for high bhp - IRO 500bhp (or maybe more???).
