Default Knocklink advice???

Advice needed!!!

Had my Subaru a few weeks before it lost compression in number 4 with a exhaust valve breaking apart, had a used unit fitted, still getting the same hesitation that I did before and am constantly worried!!!

Would a knocklink be a good buy for piece of mind and is there any way of testing the maf/lambda sensor at home rather than a dealer?

Thanks in advance.

Probably about 100 quid difference, would have to look up the prices but the KS3 is far superior, where as the knocklink will tell you your seeing det, but only if your looking at it, the ks3 will let you set up when it tells you, makes a nice noise and shows you how much det was seen.
Far superior bit of kit tbh.

Correct Tony KS3 is also more sensitive and will pick up det that a KL misses.

Id go for the ks3, i just fitted a second hand knock link, and had my ecutek mapper do a few runs with his data logger, i was told it was running perfect with no sign of det, 10mins later on my way home the knocklink was flashing amber and red lights, either its knackered or telling porkies, i wish id paid a bit more now and bought a ks3, it looks a far superior piece of kit, also i think knock links are no longer in production.

Tristan.
