Default Boost gloreous boost.

Or lack of it.

95 wrx boosts fine on wot but on three quarter throttle it boosts to about 12 psi then drops off to 7psi, it won't go past that until you turn ignition off then back on again. No faults stored changed lambda, bcs,map sensor, maf, throttle position sensor, plugs, checked coil packs and boost pipes. Does this with chip and standard ecu any ideas peeps?

The only other thing I can fault it on is when its cold it sometimes misses slightly but this only happens after about 30 after its started and last till its warm. I am waiting for a coolant temp sensor to see if that clears that up.

67 views and not one reply, tut tut you have dissapointed me.

Anyhows I changed the coolant temp sensor and that seems to have cleared up the cold running problem but not the missing boost.

Don't think its that mate as it will hold full boost all day long on wot. It's as tho the ecu is telling it not to boost.

I seem to think there is a sensor which goes into open loop/ closed loop during wot.

i'm also having running problems when cold and lack of boost, i'll change the temp sensor and hope that sorts out the running problem, please post up if you find the boost fault.
