Hi guys just a quick question, VF28 or my standard TD04 turbo?

 

VF34.

 

td04 will max out at pushing 300 were as vf 34 will go 360ish! pick ur choice lol i had 347 out of a vf34 but they can do slightly more!

 

vf 28, that's if you can find a good one.....
just fitted one on my wife's 2002 bug eye, diffference is chalk and cheese,
pulls like mad now. she loves it, waiting for other mods before remap. cheers scoobymike

 

Vf 28 every time imho,one of the faster spooling turbos after the td04 too,but wont run out of puff after 5,300 rpm like the td04.
Td04 with a remap will see you around 270-280 bhp,vf28 with remap & supporting mods should see 315 - 330 bhp,with a big improvement in the midrange.I for sure would never go back to a td04 after fitting a vf 28.
I know a few people have suggested a vf34, but sorry imho you can pay up to 4/5 x more money for a vf34 than a vf 28 and possibly gain 15-20 + bhp,and you will have to change your injectors as they will be maxed out above 330 bhp.Have a good look around as there are still some decent vf28's out there & are a worthwhile upgrade.A good place to start might be the P1 owners club.
