Default ej22 engine

ive recently aquired 2 ej22 engines just wondered if any1 has info about said engines..odb cdb ...models they were in from the factory ...differences in the engines=tunininc capabilities etc

The good ones for high power had ej22t on the casing

EJ22 are mainly used for high powered application,probably best Subaru engine.
And mainly reason why is used EJ22 is get this strokered to 2.35...

I thought the EJ22 was the legacy engine ?

Yes has been used there,but as well has been used in 22B.

There is both a ODB and CDB EJ22....one very sought after for building the stroked engines...one not really worth a lot....

Only EJ22....don't have the letter 't'..you'll need to remove heads to find if there odb or cdb...

Look for the cross hatching in the usual places to see if its a CDB.

Think the odb 2.2 was used in the legacy and is not the sort after cdb 2.2 which as said is used for the 2.35 stroker.
