Default Exhaust for the Diesel? (2.0 D Impreza's)

Hi!

Somebody found any good exhausts for the diesel? I know the STi's muffler fits, but I want a little more sound. Would a new rear muffler for the WRX og STi do the job? And do the mid-pipe fit, or is it different on the diesel?

Here are two examples:

Thanks

I know Remus make an exhaust system but other than that I'm not sure, I would of thought the mid pipe would be different with the inclusion of DPF's etc..

I would of thought the STI rear box would be your best bet although you may have to cut the valance as its a quad exit not the single like the diesel. The standard STI rear box may be a bit muted though if you are after some volume! possible go custom? or if the STI rear box fits just buy an aftermarket rear box for the STI? Hayward and Scott etc

someone else will probably come along soon with some diesel knowledge

Thanks for your reply

Have seen some backbox'es/mufflers for the STi that I think will fit, but not sure if It will give me any boxer rumble. Not looking for the same high sound as I had on my STi with the Nur Spec R, but a little more boxer sound would be fine!

But I maybe have to remove the DPF to get that sound, and that's maybe a problem on a new car with warranty.

Thanks
