Default Best oil for Hawkeye STI Type UK PPP mapped to 330-350 bhp?

Hi
I've searched for this but found lots of results for oil to be used in the 2.0 but conflicting results as to what's best for a 2006/2007 hawkeye 2.5 STI Type UK PPP mapped to 330bhp but likely to ~350 soon. Is 10w40 the best grade? I've read 10w60 is good but takes too long to warm up to fully protect. Also what make/manufacturer of oil is best and which shops or website sell it? Is a main dealer the best place to get it? The main dealer I bought car from didn't know what oil it took! My level is running low so want to top up fairly soon.

Thanks for any help.

Not been very impressed with the Fuchs at all, going back to mainly Motul products.

Motul 300 15/50w for the engine, 90PA for the Rear Diff, Redline LightWeight ShockProof for the gearbox and Motul Inugel Coolant.

Do you think the stuff had changed then ?

I've been running Silkolene race pro R (and the fuchs equivalent) since 2003 on my WRX bug between 325 and 400 BHP and it's always done it's job.

Maybe I like it because it's red

Thanks guys. I rang Alyn at http://asperformance.com/ and he recommended Millers 5w40 for my car for regular road use which I've gone for. Very helpful guy and like you said delivery next day. Anyone else us this brand? I ordered 5ltrs so it should last me. Cheers for your help.
