Default Fine dust - is this bad for engine?

Hi
Bit of a strange question. Where I work there's a big building site nearby and at the end of most days my nice clean car is covered in fine dust. Question is is this actually damaging for the car in any way or is there nothing to worry about?

Cheers

Not sure what kind of dust. They are building foundations for a new building - it looks like concrete and dirt as that's what they building on. I always hose my car down and use lots of water before cleaning. It's more my engine I'm concerned about as the bonnet scoop may let some in. Hopefully the building work will only last a few more weeks. I assume it's not damaging as it's only settled on car as car is stationary and the car isn't actually driving through constant dust.

A decent air filter should see you right, and clean/replace it more regular than usual to.

Similar problem at work I leave my car in the yard all day and with trucks coming and going non stop all day its covered by the time i get back! Luckily I have access to compressed air so I just give the panel filter a blast every now and then
