Hawkeye Re-map
Hey guys, my boss has a 06 Hawkeye STI with the prodrive pack on it, and is getting a full system on it from the turbo back with no cats, he has been told by somebody you need to re-map it after you've changed the exhaust. I've never heard of this before, but he just wants to make sure before he gets it put on.
Cheers

otherwise be prepared as the car may be running lean etc.
The very least you should do is get your AFRs checked by someone with a wide band lambda either on the road or on the rolling road but if you get the car Ecuteked by Bob Rawle for instance you will pick up power, possibly economy and your map will be exactly matched to your modifications so you will get the best from your car. You will probably also run higher boost so the additional performance will be quite noticable

hawks tend to overboost once decat-ted so for sure needs a remap, on the other hand you will jump to around 340 bhp after it so well worth it. Not entirely sure what kind of boost the ppp runs but in standard form it was 1.04 bar, duncan turned this up to 1.5 bar during remap and its a rocket compared to before

Without the remap the 2.5 sti will hit around 1.8 bar (even on half throttle) before the std ecu map has a chance to react to it and trim it back. Even if this is safe (which I very much doubt), the hesitant nature of it continually overboosting then chopping back will be horrid to drive.
