major diffrence between MY2004 WRX and STI engine

Default major diffrence between MY2004 WRX and STI engine

Hello @all,

what are the diffrence between the 2004 STI and WRX engine? I know the STI has other pistons,a larger TMIC, larger injectors, other ECU and decat uppipe. But whats diffrent too? I Have a My 2004 WRX sportswagon and i dream from a STI sportwagon .

P.S. Easiest fix is to buy a crashed STI and swap it all into yours !

As far as the engine block goes, are these identical between the 2?
And also to add a question, are all blobeye blocks the same?
Always wondered....

I can confirm that the STI uses a semi-closed deck block.

But I've never seen a WRX engine in bits, they are so reliable...
