free gasket service - well almost!
I've had the casing off my gearbox which houses the center diff, they have apaper gasket.
So i carefully removed the dowel pins sat the casting on my scanner and readthe scanner image into corel draw. I also scanned a 6" ruler to checkscaling but it came through true. I was then able to trace around the inner andouter edges of the image and also draw circles for the holes.
we have a co2 laser at work so then very accurately cut out the shape withgasket paper - very neat job.
so the point of this is as you lot have been so helpful, if anyone needs agasket making i can do this if you can supply
traced outline in dxf format
or scanned image in any format
or photocopied image in any format
or photocopied image on paper
you to supply the gasket paper A4 or A3 - cheap as chips on ebay and i'll dothe rest
cost? postage and 1 pint of beer!
