Whilst having my clutch done at a very well known scoobie specialist where I live they broke the intercooler to dump valve pipe and glued it back in place.it has now broken again and took it really easy(under 2k rpm and no boost) managed to get car home .after speaking to tuner they made it out it should be down to me to pay for new pipe!!! They have ordered new pipe and have to wait for it to arrive.nit even a sorry mate.
As I need car for work I have glued pipe back on and was going to use off boost until new pipe turns up but car is now running like crap and backfiring and the reading on my techtom shows it's running rich.have done error code check and all clear.any ideas lads?????

 

I wouldn't be paying to replace something they have broken, if they get arsey pay the bill then break something of theirs!

 

Have just been told I don't have to pay for pipe but not happy my car is buggered and backfiring.I can see a big bill for fixing car coming my way...then court action.

 

I wouldn't use it until it gets fixed.

 

Can't be used now anyway as missing like made and even with pipe fixed has no boost at all

Well new pipe fitted and all I got was it's an old car and I don't want to argue with you...
Just got home and had to fit intercooler properly and tighten the clips up as were loose.says it all really.
The tuner has loads of work in from up country but a lot of locals won't use now as I am just finding out unless they have a simtek fitted as only mapper in southwest.have cancelled my simtek,front mount and full manifold/system and looking for another garage to fit and map for me will just make it a weekend away.
Any help with garages/mappers would be grateful.
I'm in Plymouth so can't really do Scotland.cheers

Have had to do plugs as after pipe went it ran so crap it's killed the plugs...
And it's good old grumpy Alan jefferies.

Doesn't bother me what they say.they thought they could get away with glueing an intercooler pipe(alans words today).no probs with Martin but won't be taking any of my cars there again so they have lost money.
