Exclamation Underdrive Crank Pulley Problems

hi there, i have recently installed an alloy Underdrive Crank Pulley. Its quite abit smaller than the standard one and is lighter. I just wondered if this can cause powersteering pump to not work properly. The reason I ask is this seems to be what has happened to me. My powersteering only works when i rev the car. I have put new fluid in the powersteering pump and made sure its been bleed properly but only works when i rev the car. If i dont rev the car is feels like i havent got any powersteering. Also do underdrive Crank Pulley effect the crank in any way?
Could this be the problem?

Sounds like the pumps not being driven fast enough at idle. Different size pulleys will affect the speed that everything else rotates at. Id take a guess its not charging to well at idle either

Do you think will be better off changing back to the original crank pulley?
