what has my car had done to it ?????
hi swapped my bmw 328 today for a vreg 2000 turbo
i have a few rolling road print outs it went to scooby clinc who got it to 265 bhp the guy i got it from fitted some new headers and a 3.5 inch full system right up to the turbo it then went to a place called motoscope who done two runs 1st came out at 310.9 bhp and the 2nd at 307 bhp
it has a standard uk intercooler and its boosting at 1.3bar and holding untill near on the red line i can just not understand whats it had done to it its not got a dirty bleed valve or a boost cotroller ive also got a 330 bhp skyline and had a evo b4 that so i know 300 bhp feels like and i am sure some where near what the print out says .
any one help with trying to figure out what the hell the car has had done to it ???

Trying to guess what it's had done is like trying to herd cats! Nigh on impossible. I would guess at some sort of remap (hopefully), possibly an uprated turbo and some fuelling upgrade. Can you see what turbo it has?

I dont think a uk turbo intercooler would be much use running over 300bhp mate, you are better off getting a specialist to have a look at it and work out what has actually been done mods wise.

what does the guy expect. he gives us very little information to go on and expects us to get our crystal ***** and tell him what has been done to his car.
Sorry if I sound like a snobby bastid but the facts speak for themselves. yes he may know next to nothing about subarus but he can still look under the bonnet. he could take a few pictures and post them up for us to look at. he could check his paperwork he got with the car to see if he has any receipts for work done to the car.
its very frustrating when you are asked "how long's a piece of string". Every subaru is different and we can only give advice in gerneral terms with the information the OP has given. its a case of give and take. if he supplies us with as much information as possible the we can give him a more informed answer, simple as.
Now i get castigated for rubbing a newbie up the wrong way, yes we all have to learn but and increasing number of new members will come on and post the most inane questions without having either looked at the comprehansive FAQ section of even having done a search of the forums. they will not research on google of any of the 100s of subaru repositories on the net.
take a look at THIS thread for what i am talking about. well thought out, lots of info and more informed replies due to a process of elimination

i am not going to get into the rights and wrongs here, but how am a dick for asking for some more information to solve YOUR problem not mine. i wasn't offensive i just told you how it was. Einstein RA told you it was nigh on impossible to diagnose your problem as would a lot of others more knowledgable than I. if you want to throw your toys out of the pram like a little boy that's fine by me go and pay a subaru mechanic £100 an hour to solve your problem.

From your initial post mate, all that I can see that's obvious is that the cats have been removed from the vehicle which will free up a bit of power. But to run 1.3 bar which is above fuel cut then I'm purely guessing that the ecu has been remapped. When you had the car on the rollers at motorscope did they give you a print out of the air fuel ratio ??
