You could fit a vf28 as fitted to the P1 or sti 5/6 as it is very similar to a vf24,both use the same compressor as the vf 23,just slightly different wastegates. They are more readily available than the vf24 ,but the trick is to buy a good used one. When i bought mine i, drove 100 miles to examine it,and then handed over the cash.18 months later still going strong.

There are quite a wide range of turbos that will do the job including VF23, VF24, VF28, 29, 30, 35 and 34 along with TD05 16G or TD05 18G.
Power output on these will range from 320 bhp up to 360 bhp for the VF34 or TD05 18G but the injectors on your car are probably yellow 440cc so power output is limited any way to somewhere around 320-340 bhp.
You now have a wider turbo selection but putting a different turbo on your car will need a remap and that means an aftermarket ECU. For your knowledge, a new 18G from me with 12 months warranty is £725 and we fit for £50.
