Is the ecu matched to your mods or just a generic tune as might need setting up or at least checking over.

1.2 is on the very limit of the map sensor if its standard, very dangerous, pop goes the pistons !!

ryt ok and yeah guys apart from the fmic which he put on after he did the dyno run its exactly the same apart from he had some crap aftermarket headers aswell??? so would make sense that it would be the map sensor wouldnt it?

get it off your car now.

just done some digging on bozz ecus and it will more than likley be mapped for a different car so wont be running right for yours at all. the brick wall will be the fuel/boost cut. The ecu is getting that far up then saying 'o bollox this aint right' and pulling the timing and boost to try to stop the engine imploding.

header and intercooler change will be a massive change int he map and it wont be able to cope.

Not sure where you could get the Bozz ecu and no idea if its any good, but short version is it needs mapping for your car, leave it on and you could destroy your engine.

Look you just cannot buy an ECU and bolt it on the car and expect it to work.
Two cars of the same spec can have substantially different maps.
If you are lucky it will perform so badly and provide so little power that your engine is not in danger but more likely your fuelling is wrong and you will have DET so either do as Tidgy suggests or find a competant mapper to run your car and check AFRs, ignition and DET. This might cost you £80, perhaps more.
The alternative is to start stuffing your piggy bank in anticipation of your new engine.

makes no difference at all mate.

the ecu from my car was taken out of mine when i had an autronics fitted. The map was set for my car, aka a bit on the rich side for sftey reasons.

a mate bought the ecu off me to fit to his car, the idea being, plug and go, or use it for the license fee. it was put in his car on a dyno day to check the map out. The operator terminated the run due to how lean it was running and the ecu got switched back till he was having it mapped.

two cars with the same mods dont always run the same map safely, get it off your car before you blow it up.

you cant just change the map sensor as the output of the sensors are different, 1 bar may be 5v on one sensor, the same 1 Bar may be 3v on another sensor, even worse idea. I plan to swap my ecu out, but it will be tested on a mapping secion before use.
