Impreza with varrying revs as accelerating
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L8g3ov7KZPU
In the video link above I am rolling along in 5th gear, with my foot OFF the accelerator, I then apply my foot to the accelerator and the revs seem to go up then back down, then up again around the 3k to 4k region, in 3rd gear the same kind of thing happens, the revs seem to get stuck around the 4k region for abit and it sounds like the engine is reving really high, then as it passed 4k it's ok again. Car is an 03 impreza wrx
(I do this 3 times in the video, the 2nd time does not seem as bad as I applyed my foot down gradual)
1st and 2nd gear seem ok, it only really happens in 3rd 4th and 5th gears
Could this be clutch as I have clutch judder as well? I have no idea, just that I am annoyed as only just bought the car a few weeks ago. Any advice would be great

That definately looks like a slipping clutch to me. Try what Pramas said, and also try parking up with the handbrake on, then get the biting point and try to pull away slightly, but leave the handbrake on. If your reve start to climb but you stay parked up your clutch is definately gone.
Can you not smell it? And where is the biting point on the pedal? Id guess its somewhere near the top?
