Default Classic Brake Master Cylinder Upgrade?

Not happy with the way my brakes are working at the moment, want something with a solid pedal when on track, and I've tried different fluids and brake lines, but still feels like it could be better.

Has anyone changed the brake MC and servo in a classic to something like a newage version?

I replaced the front brake lines, brake master cylinder and slave cylinder with parts from a NA (1.6) version (this also eliminated the ABS) of the same model year. Totally different experience, the pedal is now firm and the feedback is much better.

As above its part ABS, but mostly the 2 stage servo. If I had time I'd definitely change mine to the 1.6 bits, but keep the ABS as mines a daily driver.

I found reducing the play in the pedal helps a little, but don't overdo it or you'll get through pads rather too quickly.

I removed the ABS on mine, made the pedal feel a bit better, also removed the standard bais valve, and fitted an adjustable willwood one.

So I'll start looking for a 1.6 brake MC and servo then?

Think thats my problem as im running big multi pot calipers, so need something that can push more fluid at a quicker rate.... so newer MC will do just this?

It will help if your car had 2-pots or worse as OEM.
