Default Air intake temp sensor fault

Hi i have a 51 plate bugeye wrx the car wa bought as rolling chassis and ive built it back up myself it has a front mount air filter and 3 inch decat. Now its showing air intake temp sensor fault on diagnostics, i have changed maf sensor with a nlknown working unit. Previously the car had motec ecu on it . Could the wiring have been modified for motec ecu . Is there a colour coded wiring loom so i can check wiring or if anyone knows what could be causing my fault cheers james

As a Motec uses speed density (ie measure pressure and temperature) and the stock ECU uses a MAF sensor chances are the wiring from the MAF sensor is altered.

My Syvecs for example uses the MAF sensor wiring , so did my previous Autronic.
Chances are the Motec does the same.

Manuals can be found online, in the newsgroups for example, or mayeb google can find soemthing.
