Crankshaft position sensor is used by the ecu to determine the position of the crankshaft via a 0 to 5volt wave form.
Has nothing to do with speedo.
If you have no speedo input to the ecu it will cut the rev limit to 4500rpm.
Is it a jap import classic with therefore a cable converter to mph? Often the cables or the converter fail.
