86 WRX Fuel Gauge
Have recently acquired first Scoob - 86 WRX, PPP, 5 door.
I have this habit of liking to know when my car is likely to run out of fuel (bad experience in the past) so my noob ?s are
1. How much miles should I expect to get from a tankful - all my running is basically A roads / dual carriageways
2. How accurate is the petrol gauge?
I currently have 285 miles on the trip setting the gauge is reading on the Empty line but the fuel warning light hasn't come on (is it working?)
Setting off on 42 miles to work tomorrow with a gallon in the boot!!Garages at 17 miles & 35 miles so should be ok - if not AA card

86, must be rare
1. Impossible to determine as it depends on your driving habits. The most I could get out of my classic was around 32mpg (uk classic) but it was boring as hell to drive like that and I meant I had to go VERY slow on the motorway.
2. I found it pretty accurate although it would go on for a long time even when the petrol light was on lol
