Inlet pipe-deleting oil breather ports
Hi there, wondered what people have used to delete off the ports where the heads/engine breather pipes attach to the standard inlet pipe when using a catch can?
Thanks for your help, Tim.

Hi Tim
I have both side head breathers and the breather next to the turbo all going into my catch can, then a 4th bigger hose on the catch can going to amto.
the pipe on the inlet, you can use any sort of bung as long as its shaped (like a bolt) so it will not get sucked into the inlet

Good morning Ian! Thanks for the reply, i've had a mare with the car as the TGV's on the nearside of the car seized putting it into limp wrist mode!! Unfortunatley my wife was driving at the time and thought she'd killed the engine, and it stopped on a roundabout which was'nt good. Anyway, bought a spec c manifold and whilst changing them over found my old manifold and inlet pipe to have quite a bit of oil residue, hence my dilemma.

i removed all the pipes that run underneath the inlet mani and used a an aluminium pipe which i had one outlet welded on for the idle control, sounds awesome and alot cleaner underneath

Hi Tim, unless you are doing lots of track, it's best to maintain the OM system routeing the post catch-can pipes back to the inlet pipe and maintaining the PCV valve system.
I've found tuners will tell you to blank the PCV, engine builders say to keep it.
A good catch-can will filter out any oil residue, thats one which has some media inside the can and doesn't rely solely on the change of air-flow direction.
I get oil into the crank-shaft breather catch-can doing heavy launches but the C-C exit pipe is well dry and clear.
