Default forged 2003 STi - what mods next?

Hi All..

Going to see my tuner around Sept and just wanted some other opinions on what to do next?

Just looking to make car quicker - simple as!

Any ideas what to do with the £2K I've scrimped together?
Only thing I'm keen to keep is the S206 as really like it.

Here's the main spec which is making just under 450 flywheel and 410lbs @ just under 2bar boost.
2.1 stroker kit
CDB,
wiseco forged pistons
K1 H beam rods
2.5 crank
cosworth shells
cosworth head gasket
cosworth sump baffle
ARP head bolts
RCM oil pump
PE800cc injectors
manifold riser kit
TT S206 turbo
RCM ceramic coated headers
3" H&S decat
3" H&S system
Hard piped FMIC
Samco water hoses
K&N trumpet with hard pipe
Walboro 255
Alloy oil catch can & breather
AP racing clutch
Simtek ECU, launch and anti-lag system activated

Performance friction front 2 piece discs
Performance friction front race pads
Performance friction rear pads

Front strut brace
BC designs fully adjustable coil overs front and rear
Full GEO set up from Carnetix
Cheers for any knowledge imparted.

pretty happy with the brakes. my 18" wheels are pretty full and the performance friction stuff is good. IMHO.

I'm happy with the handling too, but I can see a few tweeks might improve that. So will look in to Anti-Roll Bars & Droplinks. thanks.
Is whiteline the way forward?

Anyone got any peronal recomendations/suggestions on more power?

thanks

Yep, Whiteline ARBs fr and rr and their fr and rr solid drop links too.

Also poly-bush the rear radius arms, inner front wish bones and the steering rack mount bushes

When you had the BCs fitted/geo'd, did you also have camber bolts and corner weighting done too?

You probably had at least the rears done. Allows you to run more neg. camber for better roadholding in cornering. With the Eibach ones you can dial in upto 1.75deg -ve. The front's should be able to get to -1.0deg -ve without any bolts, but of course you can add the bolts to the front too, to run more -ve camber.

Advise on anywhere between 1.0-1.5 -ve all round, depending on where/how you drive the car mostly. Much more than that, and you can start to 'tramline' on our ****ty, potholed/cracked roads. It makes for a very restless ride...

just found the set up sheet from carnetix
fronts are at -1.35
rears are at -1.30

just out of interest, they have a min, max, actual and saved figure for camber. what is the saved figure as it is different to all the others?

ok... so you guys are looking at my spec and it's the s206 that leaps out as the weakest point?

not sure the limit in my set up is the turbo... not just yet?
I believe there are a few 500+ up to 550? S206 turbo set-ups out there?
I've not ruled out a 20% meth map for track? Any thoughts?

450 is generally fine for the road... I should have prob mentioned I want more power for track days.

I wouldn't change the S206. As you say, you have the scope for 500+ with it.

Indeed, why not do the obvious mod, and get a 2nd map on the Simtek on V-Power + 10 (or 20%?) meth? With that juice, and with your spec, you should easily see over 500bhp!

You may need an external Bosch 044 fuel pump to achieve the required fuel flow/pressure though... And maybe NGK Racng 8 sparkies too?

Would not bother with racing 8 spark plugs and a walbro 290lph fuel will do well over 500bhp

I don't run a swirl pot at the moment BUT I think that is a recommendation for the combination of 20% Meth @ 500+ and the track?

was thinking of running a 1.5litre pot in the engine bay as opposed to the boot, if I can find the space!

Yeah, if tracking, then I'd fit a swirl pot for sure!

And it would make logical sense for it to be cited as close as to the rails as poss (I think)...
