Default Up pipe heat shield

What is the best way to fix this?
It has broken the top weld and is now loose. I've done a search on here and it seems to be a common problem. I don't really have the time to remove the pipe (new baby ) so I'd like a quick fix.

Help appreciated.

Tack weld it or strip it and wrap it

Might be. You don't really need the heat shield and replacing the up-pipe is not a particularly straight forward (ie cheap) procedure.

Just getting it off would be a start. There's no room to maneuver. Or if I could some how pack it out to stop it rattling.

Suppose one could use heat wrap to pack it

I've sorted it temporarily by using some stainless wire and wrapping it round a spare bracket to pull it up so it can't move. Seems to have done the trick 'til I get the time to take the shield off.
