new induction kit

Question new induction kit

i am going to fit an induction kit to my 05 wrx but not sure what to do with the airflow meter as the pipework doesnt have a place for it. please help

It needs to have a hole mate, no way around it unless you get a boss welded in.

You will need a remap straight after you fit the induction kit, until remap, drive off boost.

Simple dont fit it then, serious mate unless you are planning to have a re map after you fit the new filter, then thats ok, if not then you are asking for trouble the maf needs to read air flow into the engine correctly, induction kits upset the flow and dont work very well unless the car is mapped for it and the maf readings re calibrated in the ecu

Go for a k/n panel filter or the like they work just as well if not better than some induction kits and are good up to 400bhp and they dont need a re map.

As above panel filter as standard airbox is very good. Induction kits can be problematic. Running one without a remap could cause fueling issues.
