Default screamer pipes

on a twisted turbo set up these seem common?#

do all twisted set up run these, can it be removed, whats it for and finally

does it say for example, just scream non stop as soon the engine/turbo's making boost? and really loud?

cheers for any replies

You don't have to have them, they only scream on full boost as the wastegate dumps the excess boost to attmosphere.

You can either have a screamer pipe or have it directed back into the downpipe, back into downpipe is the prefered route as it keeps the noise down.

My friends have them vented to atmosphere, and they sound amazing, different class. And you only here it when you are on full throttle.

Good luck taking it on track if you've got a screamer pipe.. they do sound awesome, but need a little muffler on them or something.

If you are just after the noise of a screamer, a split downpipe, with the pipe from the penny valve being vented to atmosphere would give a similar noise..

It's because it is a rotated setup, therefore runs an external wastegate whereas stock position turbos run an internal wastegate.

Ah I see I believe you can do summat similar with a standard setup by welding the IWG shut and putting an EWG on the end of the screamer pipe....... I dont know why Iv be researching for a few days and Iv seen it done lol ps thanks to mylilscooby for the pics yesterday
