VF35 have problems with boost creep, you will need ported wastegate, the drawback with the 35 is that it has less high end power.

If its no money object get VF34,VF30 is good turbo too, similar housing to VF34,just difference between VF34 and VF30 is VF34 is roller bearing.

Surge can be an issue with a 35 because it's such a responsive little bugger. Top end differences between a 34 and 35 don't amount to much. My VF35 set upproduced 338bhp and similar set ups with a 34 produce around the same, maybe more likely to break into the 340s but will spool marginally slower despite the ball bearing core (the p15 housing used in the 35 will give it the edge)

The 35 can usually be had significantly cheaper than the 34 which is what clinches it for most!

Agree with price of VF35,VF34 is hard to find used and for god price too.
About the spool,on mine has have excellent spool VF34 almost like TD04 and produced 350bhp with FMIC.

As you are said spool is marginal between these two,but mainly depends on setup and on which car with AVCS o non AVCS,2.0 or 2.5L.

On mine 2.0 WRX VF34 has been perfect,VF35 i've tried on blobeye STi 2.5 mapped to 330bhp,and spool has been not as good like VF34 on 2.0L,STi or just WRX.

I wouldn't imagine the VF35 working too well on a 2.5 to be honest. It was great on my 2.0. uk turbo with FMIC etc...

As you say with the VF34 it spools in a not too dissimilar fashion to the TD04!

If you can get a 34 cheap it's the one to go for, but not worth paying over the odds for when 35s are common as muck.
